Meet Queenie & the Blue Cats
Queenie aka Susan McCarter-Wade
Queenie McCarter-Wade has staked her claim as the newest diva on the Madison blues scene.
With Gospel roots from her native Chicago, Queenie delivers a powerful take on her style of blues. Her accessible, engaging stage presence immediately draws blues fans to her. She has studied, recorded and shared the stage with many notables including Sony Music?s Bradley Fish, Watermelon Glover, Bluesman Paul Filipowicz, Roger Collins and the Blue Birds, Paradox, Big Red Wright, and the late Windmill Washington. Queenie is a growing and notable presence in the blues world.
Joe Dieter
The Blue Cats feature guitarist Joe Dieter. His playing is one of the highlights of our shows. True guitar afficionados love to watch and listen as Joe explores many facets of the blues. Joe
has been playing professionally for many years in several Madison
area bands, most notably with brother Pat in the Dieter Bros. Band.
Joe brings a brilliant array of sounds and interpretations to the
song list. People who have heard his playing are excited by the tasteful
yet incisive style. He does a great job backing Queenie as well as
stepping out in front when called upon!
Bill Cheadle
Drummer Bill (Ringo) Cheadle is the latest addition to the Blue Cats and has proven to be a great find. We're really pleased to be working with him. Bill has been playing drums since the 5th grade learning from his older brother (who went before him to become a dedicated professional percussionist). Although he does not liken himself to any particular drummer or style, Bill enjoys various percussion influences from around the world. He has been playing in a few different bands in the Madison area for the past several years. He says he loves making great music and watching people have a fabulous time.
Scott Lukomski
Scott was drawn to the blues when he bought his first Butterfield
Blues Band album years ago. And was knocked out by Mike Bloomfield's
playing. |
